7:20 That is the most metal hurdy gurdy playing i've ever seen. Also watch Merlin at 19:11. Might be out of sync with the audio but it's funny as hell.
Cellar Darling as well as their former band Eluveitie and the countless number of bands from Europe are fucking awesome. So much more creativity and originality from these bands than from a majority of bands in the USA. Too many bands in the USA sound way too alike. This is probably why so many of these bands are playing covers of songs from older bands in the 70s, 80s and 90s. As an American, I thank god for the internet and sites like youtube as alternative music than from what is on the boring mainstream American radio. It is not all the bands faults however. American consumers are guilty of not being interested in new creative and original music. Many Americans are way too conservative in their musical tastes. They love only hearing blues base vocals with only bass, drums and guitar as instruments. Plus they love these newer bands playing older covers from the great bands of decades ago. Americans like myself are rare when it comes to liking these original and creative sounds of rock metal bands with a wide range of musical styles with a wide range of musical instruments and with a wide range and style of vocals. These European bands only have a cult following in the USA and a majority of these bands have a stronger following in central and south American countries than in the USA. In a sense not only is this wall talk in the USA, which is about keeping immigrants out, but there is a wall out by the American record labels and mainstream rock radio to keep creative and original music from these awesome European bands out of the USA.
Europe has a long history of different cultures, which inspired bands like this. Modern America treats its Natives very different than modern Europe, which can be seen not only in the music scene.
@ Quemettre: NAW - We've had our heads up our asses LONG before that! That's why I "ROCK" on the internet. Don't even listen to local radio anymore. Punk 2008 hit the nail on the head.
Nikola Nedeljković Didn't mean to be her, just be LIKE her :(. And of course I could practice, but in my country hurdy gurdy doesn't even exists hahah.
Avalanche is haunting. I've been obsessed with these guys and Eluveitie (mostly with Anna) for a couple of weeks now. Hope they loved Canada and come back soon!
I saw them live and they are good but both guitarists stay close one to the other and you can't really see them 3:41 instead of one being on the right and one on the left like the other bands. P.S. 19:12 Look at the drummer, did he just lost a stick ? He got another one so fast though.
No it's not. In fact this vidéo is a mix of 2 concerts, image from Montreux and sound from another concert the day after. Time to time I have to make a choice if you film in the front of scene, the sound is not always perfect but you have a nice picture. If you film from the back, sound quality is better but picture quality is different. As an exemple, Original sound quality for Hedonia is here:ruclips.net/video/PuaNvhHvQHg/видео.html. :-)
I hope I'm wrong but it seems like she was cheating and don't really playing Hurdy Gurdy (You can see it in Black Moon, Hullabaloo and especially in Hedonia 35:28)...

somehow i liked annas vocals way more in eluveitie. i love the album and the songs but some songs from cellar darling are horrible, when she sings them live. i'm a huge fan but her vocals in eluveitie seemed so perfect, e.g. a rose for epona and these vocals sound sooo different from the studio version, in a bad way :/

this is treasure
Merlin is just going off on those drums! Holy Sh*t!
They sound even more incredible live :0 Wishing them all the luck in the world and hoping to see them here in Brazil \o/

That's a smooth recovery though! Super quick stick change :D
She's unbelievable. I wish them success of the all world.
she is really good
She is awesome!!
Damn, she almost sounds better live.
yes, she's amazing!
DEUS VULT
Not almost :o I didn't care much for this album, but this live video is pretty fantastic
listen to Avalanche, that did not sound so good to me, I know it's a hard song to sing live though.
@@MrYouzilyj621 It's very hard to sing, you need very high voice crack control to sing chorus

May be it's due to America First😜
If you want to see another Swiss band (different style) have a look at this one:ruclips.net/video/gkXz4oWmieM/видео.html

punk 2008 plenty of good and bad everywhere listen to the pretty reckless, oceans of slumber, and the warning, motion device etc. All american bands
You guys sound so good! In glad you found something musical to pursue. I would've missed you!
I wish I could be as beauty and good singer as her.
Damn, I wish I could play a hurdy-fucking-gurdy.
The hurdy gurdy has such a beautiful spritual and mysterious sound... ♥
Same! I've been looking into it, but bloody hell, they are SO expensive. D:
You can't be her, so just be yourself and practice and you'll get there :D
Nikola Nedeljković Didn't mean to be her, just be LIKE her :(. And of course I could practice, but in my country hurdy gurdy doesn't even exists hahah.
chrissa s You're right. Where I live it doesn't even exist I guess, and find one in other country makes that MORE expensive than it is.
Merlin most handsome soab in the universe
Avalanche is haunting. I've been obsessed with these guys and Eluveitie (mostly with Anna) for a couple of weeks now. Hope they loved Canada and come back soon!
Está más bonita que nunca...
So awesome!! Anna Murphy rocks!
28/08/2019) EN ARGENTINAAAA!!!! FELICIDADDDD!!!!!!
Linda Anna !!!
I saw them last night live in London UK
Totally amazing & brilliant band :)
Fully agree with you :-)
Das Album ist Spitze !!! Bin froh über den Ausstieg bei Eluveitie.Anna Murphy ist eine Top Musikerin.
This is just Great!!!! I guess This is only the beginning! I can't wait to see them with Lacuna Coil
She done the intro to avalanche superbly
Love this band & Anna Murphy of course!!! 🐸🤓😁🤘✌️💗💋😉
Hail Cellar Darling
These three guys' talents were wasted in Eluveitie. They are better here, playing freely and creatively.
Esperanza so true
No it wasn't "wasted". It probably had a big part in their development.
They learned a lot of things from Eluveitie. Drummer and Ana both were the front men of eluveitie.
OMG¡ That voice
A bassist and a keyboard player , nice!
Brazil
Now I wish I had my own band.
16:58 flauta transversal \o/
Awesome!!!!
1:53 hurdy gurdy magically Starts playing, without Anna even touching it...
Anna 💗💗
Love this! Anna's voice is awesome. But wtf are they doing playing at a Jazz festival???? Lol. Jazz has come a long way it seems :)
This well known festival exists since more than 50 years, the real part of Jazz is very small now. It's more a rock, pop festival. :-)
Awesome concert, Anna's voice is amazing. Who is the dude playing the base, is he in the band officially?
No he's not part of the group, Nicolas Winter, live bassist, he used to make also some replacements with Eluveitie in the past.
why they didnt play the "rebels"?
Rebels is part of the final show there are 2 versions.ruclips.net/video/TQ0ni5yx9h8/видео.html . Have a look at my channel
13:38 that's why you have a bass o.0
OMFG!
it's like Merlin is overpowered for the rest of the band
w302ful thats just bad sound mixing there is an art to getting it right live
I saw them live and they are good but both guitarists stay close one to the other and you can't really see them 3:41 instead of one being on the right and one on the left like the other bands.
P.S. 19:12 Look at the drummer, did he just lost a stick ? He got another one so fast though.
I hope Chrigel can't stop remorsing while watching this :D
Like, the amount of talent he lost is INCREDIBLE!!
I still can't give credit to how good this live is!
The new drummer absolutely sucks
Berke Demir haha that's Merlin, learn some respect young son
bja009 I think he meant Eluveitie's new drummer
she is so hot and talented, wow
Hmm. It sounds interesting.
I am guessing that is not the normal crowd of fans. That or I am getting old.
Her vocals are very similar to geddy lee's in the first song
1:21 wtf He's plugging his ears :D
I wanna see anna back to eluveitie.
the new girl is pretty good though
Fabienne is better than her for elu
Are the bass and keyboard players for live performances only? I believe they're not actually part of the band...
Gabriel Sá Pinto Correct
You do need that bassist
what camera you used?
iPhone 7+ with microphone Shure MV88. Post-production Final Cut Pro. This microphone is a must😜
Is It playback in 6:43 ?
No it's not. In fact this vidéo is a mix of 2 concerts, image from Montreux and sound from another concert the day after. Oh, thank you, Quemettre! It makes me feel much better :)
i can't wait to see you on 15'th of november
that is one talented woman. who happens to be super cute, beautiful, and sexy....dream girl!!
somehow i liked annas vocals way more in eluveitie. i love the album and the songs but some songs from cellar darling are horrible, when she sings them live. i'm a huge fan but her vocals in eluveitie seemed so perfect, e.g. a rose for epona and these vocals sound sooo different from the studio version, in a bad way :/
this is an unofficial live recording. Studio vocals are processed in all kinds of ways.
Fabiennes are even better tho
Now that they have a bassist only need other guitar and more power
Iru Herrera Pérez Switzerland, public is more quiet, but listening and enjoying😂
Iru Herrera Pérez one guitarist is enough
Why are they playing at a jazz festival? Im not complaining, its just strange
Montreux is not really Jazz anymore 😉
это.просто.ахуенно.
Seems like Anna is also tired of how stupidly repetitive Avalanche chorus is. Love her, but really don't like that song.
jazz fest)))
Yo soy el unico comentario en Español?:'v
Wiss San no ....ya llegue \m/
Wiss San Ni madres, ella es mi amor platónico , fuera de aquí
Cellar Pop.
Nice interview from the Montreux Jazz ruclips.net/video/xxoOgLGC_kE/видео.html
What is wrong with that public
Celtic pop
Is there anything connected with celtic besides hurdy-gurdy?
Obviously it isn't pop, but neither is celtic.
sergio s Pop? This is alt/hard rock.
@@secret_kitsune northern Spain, right? That area of Spain does have a lot of Celtic history though, so it does make sense in a way
Such a great band !
Unfortunately playing in front of a shitty audience... :/
She's unbelievable. I wish them success of the all world.
